Well we finally got our little girl – Lucy Jane, born July 5th.  I’m a little relieved that she wasn’t born on the 4th.  I feel like it’s a lot of pressure to have a fire cracker baby.  Every year there would have to be an epic party to compete with all the others.  I told Jesse that if she was born on the 4th, our next house would have to have a pool or waterfront :) to aid in our legendary birthday parties.  I can’t say though that he agreed to it.  In fact, he claims he doesn’t remember me saying that.  But regardless she wasn’t born on the 4th, though I’d still take the waterfront property!

But enough about that…here she is.

Today is our first day just the two of us.  Jesse was off last week and we had visitors most days.  Last week was pretty productive.  With Jesse around, the 3 of us ran errands, and did a few over due chores like cleaning out the garage and taking stuff to the dump.  I’ve decided my goal now is to get out at least once a day. I’m realizing that when flying solo with a baby, it’s much harder to gather the motivation to get out of the house.  Especially since I was just informed that there are streaming HGTV episodes online.  Don’t tell my husband, but I watched 3 episodes of Sarah’s House this morning with Lucy.  She loves it :)

It’s only noon, but I’m starting going a little stir crazy…I’m showered but don’t necessarily want to leave the house…I want to work on projects!!  I think Sarah only made it worse.  I have a little rocking chair that was mine, and I need to repaint it.  I broke the arms off of it when I was young, so it needs a little repair work.  Hopefully I can get working on it this week, but until then…we have a mini shopping trip to prepare for.  Wish us luck!
